[김일웅 기자= 경기북부] 북부지방산림청은 산림 내 위법행위 단속을 강화하기 위하여 관내 산림사법수사대(7개팀, 122명)를 이달부터 연말까지 운영 한다고 밝혔다.

북부지방산림청은 2018년도부터 “위성영상분석”, “GNSS 활용 정밀측량”, “산림드론을 활용한 현장조사”와 같은 과학적이고 전문적인 산림사법수사팀을 운영했었다.

이번 특별단속은  최근 다양화·집단화·고도화 되고 있는 산림 내 위법행위가 늘어남에 따라 서울·경기·강원 영서 지역을 담당하는 관할 국유림관리소와 지방청 산림사범수사팀들을 기반으로 한 '산림특별사법경찰관'을 구성해 산림사법수사대 7개팀 86명과 이를 지원하는 산림보호지원단 36명을 체게적으로 운영 단속할 방침이라고 밝혔다.

2020년 작년 한해 총 191건의 사법 처리(불법산지전용 130건, 무허가 벌채 11건, 도벌 1건, 기타 임산물 불법채취 등 49건)와 50여건의 행정조치를 완료한 바 있다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “과학적이고 전문적인 산림사법수사대 운영을 통해 매년 지속적으로 늘어나고 있는 산림 내 위법행위를 줄이기 위해 적극 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
