[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 11일 원주시와 경동대학교가 원주체력인증센터 국민체력100사업 활성화 및 기관 간 네트워크 강화를 위한 업무협약을 체결한다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 코로나19 상황 등을 고려하여 서면으로 진행되며, 원주시는 국민체력100사업 활성화를 위한 학생들의 체력측정 및 프로그램을 확장·발굴하고 경동대학교는 학생들의 체력향상을 위한 지속적 참여를 지원하는데 상호 협력하기로 했다고 전했다.

특히 3월에 신설되는 경동대학교 메디컬캠퍼스(문막읍 견훤로 815) 군사학과 학생들의 군간부선발 체력평가를 원주체력인증센터에서 지원함으로써 채용의 공정성과 평가의 효율성을 높일 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

원주시 관계자는 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 인프라를 활용한 건강도시 원주의 이미지 제고뿐만 아니라 체력측정 및 맞춤형 운동처방 서비스 수혜 확장으로 이어지길 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
