[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 10일부터 양주시는 불법 주정차 단속 사전문자 알림서비스에 인근 공영주차장을 안내하는 서비스를 추가 제공한다고 밝혔다.

양주시는 서비스 이용자 만족도 향상을 위해 불법주정차 단속 사전 안내 문자에 인근 공영주차장 위치가 표시된 양주시 주정차종합지도 서비스 카카오맵 링크를 추가해 스마트폰 GPS를 통한 운전자의 현 위치 주변의 공영주차장으로 쉽게 이동할 수 있도록 안내 서비스를 시행한다고 했다.

지난 2018년부터 시행해온 불법 주정차 단속 사전문자 알림서비스는 안전한 교통 환경 조성과 과태료 부과로 인한 운전자 부담을 감소시키고자 불법주정차 단속구역에 일시적으로 주정차한 차량의 운전자에게 문자를 받는 즉시 차량 이동 주차를 요청하는 서비스이며, 특히 지난 2020년부터 양주시 주도로 의정부시, 포천시, 동두천시, 연천군 등 경기북부 5개 시·군과 통합 불법 주정차 단속 사전문자 알림서비스를 운영 중이라고 전했다.

이 같은 통합서비스 운영으로 2021년 사전문자 알림서비스 등록건수는 2020년 기준 49,558건에서 62%가량 증가한 80,292건을 기록하며 경기 북부 지역 시민들의 높은 관심을 얻고 있다고 했다.
