이 사업은 신북면지역사회보장협의체에서 2022년 처음 시작한 지역특화사업 ‘뽀송뽀송 신북세탁지원사업’으로 협의체 위원님들이 관내 홀몸 어르신 등 가정에 방문해 직접 이불 수거해 세탁 후 집까지 배달해 주는 사업이고, 1월, 4월, 7월, 10월 총 4분기로 운영되며, 분기당 10가구로 총 40가구에 이불 4채씩 세탁 지원한다고 했다.

세탁 이불을 전달받은 한 어르신은 “겨울 이불은 세탁하기 어려워 매년 묵혀두곤 했는데 이렇게 새 이불처럼 깨끗하게 세탁을 해줘 너무 고맙다.”라고 감사한 마음을 전달했다.

최금식 위원장은 “깨끗해진 이불을 보고 좋아하는 어르신들의 모습을 보니 한결 편하고 뿌듯하다.”라고 말했다.
