[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시 생연2동 주민자치위원회에서는 최근 저소득층 가구를 대상으로 세탁지원 봉사를 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 봉사는 생연2동 주민자치위원회 주민복지분과위원회 주관으로 관내 독거노인 등 저소득층 3가구를 대상으로 이불빨래를 수거하고 세탁 후 다시 배달했다고 전했다. 

황용택 위원장 및 김승희 주민복지분과장은 “독거노인들은 취약한 위생환경에도 이불빨래는 엄두도 못내는 경우가 많아 이런 봉사를 지속적으로 실시하여 도움을 드리고자 한다”고 말했다.

김일 생연2동장은 “여름에 이어 가을에도 관내 어르신들을 돌아보는 주민자치위원회 주민복지 분과에 감사의 말씀을 드린다”고 말했다.
