[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 28일까지, 홍천군 보건소가 인플루엔자(독감) 유·무료 국가예방접종을 연장한다고 밝혔다.

홍천군 보건소에 따르면 지난해 6만 8,084명의 대상자 중 34.2%인 2만 3,299명이 보건소에서 인플루엔자 접종을 마쳤고, 특히 인플루엔자에 취약한 만 65세 이상은 대상자 1만 8,764명 중 77.8%인 1만 4,593명이 접종을 완료했으며, 임산부 및 어린이는 대상자 5,703명 중 61.1%인 3,486명이 접종을 완료했다고 전했다. 

군은 추워진 날씨로 인해 코로나19와 인플루엔자의 동시 유행에 대한 우려가 지속됨에 따라 지난해 말 종료 예정이었던 인플루엔자 접종에 대한 기간을 연장, 이미 보건소에서 확보한 인플루엔자 예방백신 2,000명분을 소진시까지 접종할 방침이며, 단, 만 9세 이하 어린이 중 2회 접종 대상자와 임산부는 오는 4월 30일까지 접종이 가능하다고 했다.  

특히 중증 계란 알레르기가 있어 기존 인플루엔자 백신 접종이 어려운 소아·청소년은 보건소에서 세포배양 백신을 접종받을 수 있으며, 인플루엔자 접종은 무료 대상자(만 65세 이상 어르신, 임산부, 만 13세 이하 어린이)뿐 아니라 홍천군에 거주하는 취약계층 및 유료접종 대상자도 접종이 가능하고, 유료접종 대상자는 9,000원의 비용이 발생된다고 했다.

원은숙 홍천군 보건소장은 “독감 유행은 4월까지 지속될 수 있어 코로나19와 인플루엔자의 동시 유행시 광범위한 확산이 우려된다”며 “미접종자는 빠른 시일 내에 인플루엔자 예방접종을 받으시길 권유한다”고 말했다.
