[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 29일 (사)정선군새마을회에서는 정선군새마을회관에서 정선군수 최승준을 비롯한 최양진 정선군새마을회장, 새마을회 회원 등이 참석한 가운데 2021년 정선군새마을운동 평가대회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

2021 정선군새마을운동 평가대회는 올 한해동안 새마을운동 활동 및 새마을운동 추진에 선도적 역할을 해온 새마을지도자들을 위로·격려하고 시대변화에 맞는 새로운 봉사결의와 함께 자립의지를 다지는 소통과 화합의 장 마련을 위해 열렸고, 평가대회는 코로나19 예방수칙을 준수한 가운데 개회선언, 새마을운동 활동영상 상영, 우수 새마을지도자 시상 등의 순으로 진행되었다고 했다.

이날 '조봉래 강원도새마을회 이사가 국무총리 표창', '정재교 새마을지도자남면협의회장이 장관 표창', '김이양 사북읍새마을부녀회장이 도지사 표창', '새마을지도자남면협의회 김준길 새마을지도자와 북평면새마을부녀회 안복동 새마을지도자가 정선군수 표창', '정선읍새마을부녀회 윤문숙새마을지도자와 새마을지도자북평면협의회 배기준 새마을지도자가 정선군의회 의장 표창', '유순옥 북평면새마을부녀회장과 박봉의 새마을문고정선군지부 회장이 중앙회장 표창' 수상하는 등 총 26명이 다양한 분야에서 수상을 받았다고 했다.

단체별 평가에서는 새마을지도자고한읍협의회와 사북읍새마을부녀회가 최우수사을 새마을지도자사북읍협의회와 북평면새마을부녀회가 우수상을 새마을지도자임계면협의회와 정선읍새마을부녀회가 장려상을 각각 수상했고, 또한 이날 투명페트병 모으기 경진대회에서 정선읍새마을회가 1위를 사북읍새마을회가 2위, 고한읍새마을회가 3위, 장려상 6팀에 대한 시상이 진행되었다고 했다.

정선군새마을회는 이번 평가대회를 통해 다양한 분야에서 봉사활동과 지역사회 발전을 위해 노력하고 있는 회원 상호간 소통을 통한 미래지향적인 정선군새마을회로 거듭날 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

최양진 정선군새마을회장은 "소통과 화합을 통한 지역사회 발전과 정선군새마을회 위상 제고를 위한 사회봉사단체로 거듭날 수 있도록 회원 모두와 함께 하나된 마음으로 적극 노력해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
