포천시는 이번 공모에서 관인면의 구 면민회관을 리모델링한 다목적기능 생활사회기반시설 SOC 조성과 주민공동체 육성을 통한 지역 활력 되찾기 사업 방안 등을 제시했고, 최종 선정된 관인면 탄동리 1000번지 일원에는 2024년까지 국도비 46억원을 포함, 총사업비 70억원을 투입해 관인면 복지회관에 다목적기능 생활SOC와 관인1⁺센터를 조성한다고 했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “이번 선정된 인정사업으로 지역 일자리 창출을 비롯해 지역주민의 주거환경 개선, 공동체 의식 회복 등 구도심 활성화에 크게 기여할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 낙후된 도심에 활력을 가져올 수 있는 재생사업이 활발히 추진될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.”라고 전했다.

한편, 포천시는 이번에 선정된 관인면 인정사업을 포함해 신읍동·영북면 도시재생 뉴딜사업, 영중면 인정사업, 이동면 예비사업 등 5개 도시재생사업을 추진하게 된다고 밝혔다.
