새 군의회 청사의 준공으로 구 군의회 청사(제2본관)에는 건설과와 경제일자리과, 그리고 기획감사담당관실 내 감사법무부서와 행정안전과 내 인사조직부서가 배치됐고, 건설과가 자리하고 있던 본관 1층 공간은 정문 옆에 있던 종합민원실이 옮겨갈 예정이며, 오는 12월 23일 준공을 목표로 현재 리모델링 공사가 한창 진행 중이라고 했다.

또한 군청사 정문과 본관 현관을 잇는 노약자 인도를 설치해 편의를 제공할 계획이며, 특히, 군청을 방문한 민원인이 각 건물마다 어느 부서가 위치하고 있는지를 건물 외부에서도 한눈에 알 수 있도록 외벽에 간판을 설치해 편의성을 높였고, 이밖에도 군청사 본관 및 제2본관에서 새 군의회청사로 향하는 연결로에 데크길과 차양막을 설치하고 있고, 청사 방호문도 교체할 계획이라고 전했다.

조인묵 군수는 “지난 8월부터 지금까지 군청사 곳곳에서 공사가 진행되고 있어 민원인들이 불편을 겪어오셨다.”며 “다음 달 공사가 마무리되면 업무 연관성이 있는 부서들 간 가까운 곳에 위치한 사무실의 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경에서 민원을 해결하실 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
