[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2일, 정선군사회복지협의회는 동절기 연탄 부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 취약계층을 위하여 사랑의 연탄 나눔 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사랑의 연탄나눔 행사는 한국전력공사 정선지사 후원금 100만원과 협의회 후원 사업을 연계하여 정선읍, 북평면, 여량면 지역의 총 5가구에 사랑의 연탄 1,700장을 전달했고, 지리적 접근성이 열악하고 경제적 어려움으로 난방에 어려움을 겪고 있는 어르신 가구에 한국전력공사 정선지사 김재관 지사장 및 직원들이 정선군사회복지협의회와 함께 직접 연탄을 배달하고 코로나19로 외로운 어르신에게 온정을 나누는 시간을 가졌다고 했다. 

한국전력공사 정선지사 김재관지사장은 "소외된 이웃을 위한 사랑의 연탄 나눔 활동을 통해 취약 어르신들이 추운 겨울 따뜻하고 건강하게 지내실 수 있기를 바란다"고 말했다.

정선군사회복지협의회 김진복회장은 "동절기 연탄 부족과 코로나19 등으로 더욱 어려운 시간을 보내고 있는 어르신들에게 따뜻한 온정을 베풀어 주신 한국전력공사 정선지사 김재관지사장을 비롯한 직원분들에게 감사의 인사를 전하고 이번 나눔 활동을 계기로 지역 사회에 복지소외계층에 대한 관심과 지원이 확대되길 바란다"고 전했다.
