[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 12일 포천시는 신읍동 소재 농협중앙회 포천시지부에서 취약계층 지원을 위해 물품(쌀 500g, 500포)을 사회복지공동모금회에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 기탁한 물품은 ‘경기먹거리 그냥드림 코너’에 배분하여 코로나19로 기본생활을 영위하는데 어려움을 겪는 시민 누구나 편하게 제공 받을 수 있게 된다고 했다. 

박윤경 지부장은 “코로나19로 인해 힘든 시기를 겪고 있는 이웃을 도울 수 있는 방법을 고민하다 누구나 쉽게 가지고 갈 수 있는 ‘경기 먹거리 그냥드림 코너’에 물품을 기탁하게 되었다.”고 말했다.

박윤국 시장은 “우리 주변엔 알게 모르게 어려움을 겪고 있는 이웃들이 많다. 그런 분들에게 도움이 될 귀중한 나눔이다. 나눔문화 확산에 동참해주셔서 감사하다.”고 전했다.

한편, ‘경기 먹거리 그냥드림 코너’는 지난 2월 포천시자원봉사센터 포천 1호점을 시작으로 포천 2호점이 소흘읍행정복지센터에서 운영 중이며, 오는 17일 영북면행정복지센터와 일동행복마을관리사무소에 포천 3호·4호점이 추가 개소될 예정이라고 했다.
