[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 3일 의정부시는 코로나19 상황 속에서 어린이집 방역실태를 점검하기 위해 호원동 소재 공립안말어린이집을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이번 현장방문은 관내 380개소 어린이집의 방역 수칙 준수실태를 확인하고, 감염병이 확산되고 있는 어려운 상황에서도 아동보육에 애쓰며, 코로나19 선제검사 및 백신접종에 적극 협조한 2천900여 명의 보육교직원들을 격려하기 위해 이루어졌다고 했다. 

의정부시 관내 어린이집은 지난해 11월부터 긴급돌봄을 제외한 휴원 상태를 유지하며, 특별활동 및 야외행사를 전면 중지하고, 원내 소독 및 환기, 마스크 착용, 사회적 거리 두기 등 기본 방역수칙을 준수하는 등 어린이집 내에서 코로나19 확산을 막기 위해 혼신의 노력을 하고 있다고 말했다.

이러한 어린이집의 협조와 노력으로 의정부시는 어린이집 확진자 발생률이 경기도 내 타시군 대비 현저히 낮으며, N차 감염도 발생하지 않는 등 성공적인 방역상황을 유지하고 있다고 했다.
