지난 1,2차 공모 이후, 사회주택 사업자들의 참여를 확대하기 위해 입지조건을 기존의 인구 50만 이상 11개 市에서 경기도내 31개 시․군으로 완화했다. 역세권(1.5km) 기준도 폐지하여 사업자들이 다양한 후보지 제안을 할 수 있도록 공모 조건을 변경했다고 전했다.
