‘행복한 보금자리 사업’은 민‧관 협력 사업으로 2017년 10월부터 시작하여 지금까지 주거환경 취약계층 39가구에게 싱크대 교체, 도배, 장판, 창문수리 등을 실시했으며, 협력 기관으로는 흥선동 지역사회보장협의체, 가능제일교회, 한일씽크, 의정부시 자원봉사센터 등이 있다고 했다.

 
정준모 흥선동 복지지원과장은 “코로나19로 인해 그동안 지역에서 많은 봉사활동이 중단됐다. 어려움을 겪고 있는 복지사각지대의 긴급한 위기가구에 대한 틈새를 매꿔주신 협력 기관(단체)분들에게 감사드리고 앞으로도 민‧관협력을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
