[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 국토교통부에서 추진하는 제6차 국도·국지도 건설 5개년 계획(2026~2030) 수립 수요조사에  국도7호선(삼척~동해) 국도대체 우회도로와 국지도28호선(삼척시 하장면 대전리~장전리) 시설개량 대상사업을  건의 노선 자료로 3월 8일 강원도와 원주지방국토관리청에 제출했다.

시에 따르면, 국도7호선(삼척~동해) 국도대체 우회도로 국가계획 반영을 위해 2022년 10월부터 연구용역을 시행하여 삼척~동해 20.4km 구간 중 삼척시 구간 8.8km을 금회계획 우선반영 건의 자료로 제출했다.

시는, 이번 건의가 채택되어 국가계획에 반영되면 대형 화물차량의 중심시가지 관통으로 인한 심각한 환경피해와 국도변 각종 개발사업에 따른 도로이용 불편, 사고위험 등 제반 문제가 해결되길 기대하고 있다.

이와 함께, 삼척시는 국지도28호선 하장면 대전리~장전리 구간을 급경사·급커브로 인한 사고위험 및 도로이용 불편 해소와 지역균형발전을 위해 국지도 시설개량 대상사업으로 건의했다.

또한, 국도38호선 삼척시 마평동~동해시 단봉동 구간은 현재 동지역 국도로 삼척시․동해시에서 관리하고 있으나, 국토부의 도로법에 의한 지정국도 대상노선으로 수요조사 자료로 제출하여 국가관리도로로 지정되도록 하고, 

향후 기존 2차로 구간을 4차로로 확장되도록 하여 도로병목 현상 및 급커브 등으로 인한 도로이용 불편․사고위험을 해소하는 등 일반국도의 간선기능을 확보할 수 있도록 할 계획이다.

심재록 건설과장은 "제6차 국도·국지도 건설 5개년 계획(2026~2030)에 반영 건의한 국도7호선(삼척~동해) 국도대체 우회도로 삼척시 구간 금회계획 우선반영"을 건의했다고 밝혔다.

이어, "국지도28호선 하장면 대전리~장전리 구간 반영과 도로법에 의한 지정국도 대상노선으로 제출한 국도38호선 삼척시 마평동~동해시 단봉동 구간에 대하여 국가계획에 반영될 수 있도록 정부에 사업 필요성․타당성 지속건의 및 행정력을 집중하는 계획이다."고 말했다.
