[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 이달부터 저소득 어르신들의 건강하고 활기찬 노후생활을 위한 노인일자리 지원 사업을  본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

노인일자리는 공익형, 사회서비스형, 시장형, 취업알선형 등 4개 유형, 28개 사업단으로 운영되는 사업으로 2,992명의 어르신이 참여하는데, 올해 일자리사업은 지난해보다 예산을 더 확보함에 따라 참여 가능한 자리가 증가해, 더 많은 어르신들이 소득보장 및 사회활동 지원을 받을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

해당 사업은 평창시니어클럽, 평창노인복지센터, (사)대한노인회 평창군지회 취업지원센터 등 3개의 기관에서 위탁·운영하며, 군은 수행기관과 협조해 노인일자리 사업 홍보, 대상자 선발, 참여자 관리를 진행하여 지속적으로 수요처를 발굴하며 일자리 사업을 확대할 계획이라고 전했다.

최영훈 행정지원국장은 “일자리 및 사회 참여활동 지원을 통해 어르신들의 소득 보장 뿐 아니라 적성을 고려한 다양한 일자리를 창출하여 노인복지 증진에 적극 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
