이번 공모전은 태백시 발전에 관심있는 전 국민 누구나 시 홈페이지, 국민신문고, 국민생각함, 이메일을 통해제안 접수가 가능하며 응모된 제안은 국민투표를 통해 1차로 10건을 선정하며, 2차는 제안심사위원회에서 창의성, 실현가능성, 경제성, 계속성, 노력도 등 5개 분야로 심사해 금상 1, 은상 2, 동상 2, 장려상 2명을 선정할 계획이다. 

또한, 시상금 규모는 금상 100만 원, 은상 각50만 원, 동상 각30만 원, 장려상 각20만 원이며, 태백시장 상장과 함께 지급할 예정이다.

이상호 태백시장은 “태백시 혁신정책 제안 공모에 대한 창의적이고 획기적인 아이디어가 접수될 수 있도록 많은 참여와 관심을 가져주시기 바란다”며 “선정된 제안은 시정에 최대한 반영하여 살기 좋은 태백시가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
