[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 8월 12일과 13일 양일간 홍천군은 홍천군 도시산림공원 토리숲 특설무대에서 전국힙합댄스경연대회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 ‘청소년의 열린공간, 어울림 도시 홍천’을 주제로 전야제 축하공연과 전국 브레이크댄스 및 힙합 올장르 퍼포먼스 경연대회로 진행되며 오는 12일 전야제에서는 브레이브 걸스와 엠씨스나이퍼, 댄스드림팀(엠비크루, 아너브레이커즈 외) 등이 출연하고 그래피티 전시(기념촬영) 및 관람객이 참여할 수 있는 체험관도 운용하여 다채로운 볼거리를 제공할 예정이다. 

오는 13일에는 오후 2시부터 브레이크댄스와 올장르 퍼포먼스 경연대회(청소년부/일반부/단체전)를 진행하며 부문별 경연은 8강부터 진행되고 브레이크댄스 1개 부문과 올장르 퍼포먼스(청소년/대학∙일반) 2개 부문으로 각각 시상하며 주요 심사위원으로는 각종 세계대회에서 우승한 비보이 루키 외 다수 실력자들이 참여한다. 

배태수 문화체육과장은 “2024년 파리올림픽 정식종목으로 선정된 브레이크댄스가 이번 경연대회를 통해 청소년들에게 건강한 힙합문화로 전달되고 코로나로 지친 군민과 관광객들이 힐링 할 수 있는 계기가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
