[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 13일 강릉시는 아레나경기장 주차장에서 ‘2021년 하반기 관계부처 합동 어린이 통학버스 안전점검’을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

강릉경찰서와 한국교통안전공단강원본부 등 3개기관 합동으로 진행하는 이번 점검은 어린이보호구역에서 발생하는 안전사고 예방을 위하여 매년 상·하반기 2회에 걸쳐 실시하고 있다고 했다.

이번 점검은 강릉시 관내 어린이집 30개소 통학버스 34대이다. 주요 점검항목으로는 어린이통학버스 신고여부, 통학버스 요건 구비여부, 종합보험 가입여부, 안전교육 이수여부, 어린이통학버스 안전운행 기록작성 등이라고 했다. 

강릉시는 코로나19 감염병 예방을 위해 거리두기와 개인보호구(마스크, 일회용 장갑) 착용 등 방역수칙을 준수하면서 실시할 예정이라고 전했다. 

점검결과에 따라 규정 미숙지 등으로 인한 위반사항은 현장에서 즉시 시정조치 또는 자발적으로 시정을 유도하고, 위법행위에 대해서는 행정처분 등 조치를 할 계획이라고 했다. 

김복희 아동보육과장은“어린이 통학버스에 대한 지속적인 안전점검을 통해 모든 아이가 안전한 환경에서 통원할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
