[김현우 기자 = 강릉시] 강릉시는 최근 강릉경찰서와 합동으로 음주단속 현장에서 고액·상습 체납 차량 번호판영치 단속을 실시했다고 1일 밝혔다.

체납차량 번호판 영치는 자동차세 2회 이상, 자동차 관련 과태료 30만 원 이상의 체납차량을 대상으로 실시되며, 영치시스템이 탑재된 차량과 영치용 모바일앱을 이용해 체납차량을 찾아냈다.

강릉시에 따르면, 올해 번호판 영치 상시 단속반을 운영하고 있으며, 총 92건의 번호판 영치 및 경고를 통해 58백만 원을 징수했고,  11월부터 12월 말까지 체납세 일제 정리기간으로 설정하고 체납차량 집중 징수활동을 전개할 계획이라고 전했다.

강릉시 관계자는“야간 합동단속으로 시민의 납세의식이 높아지길 기대하며, 지속적으로 유관 기관과의 협업을 통해 번호판 영치를 해나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
