[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도와 용인시, 경기주택도시공사(이하 GH), 용인도시공사는 공동으로 시행하는 ‘경기용인 플랫폼시티 도시개발사업’이 개발계획 수립을 완료하고, 이르면 내년 하반기부터 부지조성 공사에 들어갈 전망이라고 전했다. 

GH는 최근 ‘경기용인 플랫폼시티 도시개발사업 개발계획’에 대한 용인시 도시계획위원회 심의를 완료하여, 개발계획이 16일에 고시됐다고 밝혔다.

GH는 GTX(광역급행철도) 기반의 수도권 남부 신성장 거점도시 조성을 위해, 앞서 2019년 5월 경기도, 용인시, 용인도시공사와 공동사업시행자 간 양해각서를 체결하고, 경기용인 플랫폼시티 사업을 추진해 왔다고 전했다.

개발계획을 살펴보면, 주택용지는 약1만 호 규모로 원주민 재정착과 서민 주거 안정을 위해, 단독주택, 분양․임대형 공동주택, 주상복합 등 다양한 유형의 주택용지를 계획했다고 했다.

또한 지역산업 발전 및 일자리 창출을 위해 전체면적의 약 16%를 산업용지(44만㎡)로 계획했는데, 이 가운데 27만㎡는 취득세‧재산세 감면 혜택이 있는 도시첨단산업단지로 지정해 첨단업종의 기업 유치 기반을 마련했다고 했다.

한편, 역세권 주변에는 복합환승센터와 연계된 복합용지(14만㎡)를 계획하면서 대중교통을 이용해 도심 중심부에 복합시설(주거, 업무, 상업, 문화 등)을 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 대중교통지향형(Transit Oriented Development) 개발을 진행한다고 했다.

아울러, 사업구역 내 산림을 복원하고 중앙공원(플랫폼 파크)과 도심을 연결하는 녹지를 배치해 주거 만족도가 높은 친환경 도시로 조성할 계획이라고 했다.

GH를 비롯한 공동사업시행자는 경기용인 플랫폼시티 도시개발계획 수립이 완료됨에 따라 2022년 하반기 손실보상 협의 및 실시계획 인가를 추진하고, 내년 하반기부터 부지조성공사를 착공할 예정이라고 전했다.
