[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 15일부터 4월 12일까지, 평창군보건의료원치매안심센터는 2022년 치매가족지원사업으로 ‘헤아림’&‘힐링프로그램’을 매주 화요일, 9주간에 걸쳐 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

군 치매안심센터는 열악한 지리적 접근성과 계절적 요인을 고려하여 이번 상반기에는 남부권역에서 평창읍·미탄면·방림면·대화면에 거주하는 주민을 대상으로 농한기(2월~4월)에 치매안심센터에서 운영하고, 하반기(7월~8월)에는 북부권역에 속하는 봉평면·용평면·진부면·대관령면에 거주하는 주민을 대상으로 용평면에서 운영하며, 이동에 어려움이 있는 대상자는 송영서비스를 제공하여 많은 치매가족들이 참여할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.

‘헤아림’은 치매어르신을 돌보면서 애쓰는 모든 가족들을 대상으로 치매라는 질병에 관한 지식과 돌봄에 필요한 정보와 기술을 제공하는 복지부와 중앙치매센터가 개발한 체계적인 가족지원 프로그램이며, ‘힐링프로그램’은 다양한 체험을 통해 치매환자의 가족들이 정서적 재충전을 할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램이라고 했다.

아울러, 평창군보건의료원 정신건강의학과 전문의와 함께 치매가족들의 다양한 경험과 불편사항들을 해결할 수 있도록 지원하고, ‘헤아림’과‘힐링프로그램’을 함께 운영해 보호자들의 참여율과 관심도를 높일 예정이라고 전했다.

장재석 보건의료원 원장은 “이번 가족지원프로그램을 통하여 모든 치매환자의 가족들이 치매와 돌봄에 대한 올바른 지식과 지혜를 배우고, 지친 마음도 달래어 길고 긴 치매와의 동행을 슬기롭게 해 나갈 수 있기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
