[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 기차바위 안전로프 훼손과 관련하여 수락산을 이용하는 등산객들의 안전을 위하여 현장점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 현장점검은 지난 2월 7일부터 9일까지, 실시한 수락산 기차바위 안전로프 훼손 관련 현장점검 및 안전조치에 대하여 전반적으로 재확인하고, 추가적인 안전조치가 필요한 구간에 대하여 집중 조사하여 시민의 생명을 최우선으로 하는 산림서비스를 제공하기 위하여 이뤄졌다고 했다.

특히 시는 지난 3월 8일부터 3월 22일까지, 기차바위 등산로 구간에 대한 주민의견을 수렴하여 '2022년 수락산 등산로 정비사업'을 추진할 계획이며, 수락산 등산로 구간에 실시한 안전로프 등 시설물 훼손 여부를 집중 점검하는 등 안전 분야에 대하여 세심하게 점검했다고 전했다.

김상록 녹지산림과장은 “점검과정에서 확인된 안전에 대한 사항은 즉시 조치하고, 지속적인 수락산 등산로 점검 등을 통하여 시민의 안전과 쾌적한 산행환경 제공에 최선을 다하겠다.” 고 밝혔다.
