[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 14일 재단법인 의정부시평생학습원과 의정부시바둑협회는 의정부시평생학습원 대강당에서 ‘바둑기사와 만나는 EQ 쑥쑥 바둑 한마당’을 공동 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 ‘바둑 한마당’은 평생학습원에서 진행한 ‘의정부 어린이 EQ 쑥쑥 바둑교실’을 수료한 관내 초등학생이 참여하여 그동안 배운 바둑 지식으로 자신감 향상과 건강한 정서함양을 도모하고자 개최됐고, 특히 바둑대회와 함께 프로 바둑기사 초청 강연을 통해 어린이들에게 바둑에 대한 관심을 높이는 계기를 마련했으며, 프로기사의 지도다면기, 바둑기사와 직접 소통하는 Q&A와 사인회, 캘리그라피 체험 등 다양한 활동을 진행하여 성황리에 마무리 됐다고 했다. 

대회에 참여한 학생 대표는 “바둑교실을 통해 바둑에 대한 흥미, 집중력, 자신감을 가질 수 있었고 프로기사님과 만날 수 있는 기회를 만들어주셔서 감사드린다”고 소감을 전했다.

송원찬 평생학습원장은 “앞으로도 평생학습원은 건강한 여가 선용 도모 및 두뇌 스포츠 참여 증진을 위한 어린이 바둑교실을 확대하여 바둑도시 의정부시를 널리 알릴 수 있는 바둑교육문화 조성과 바둑의 저변확대를 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
