[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 13일 재단법인 의정부시평생학습원은 서계 박세당 고택에서 ‘제1회 의정부시 서계 평생학습 산책’ 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 행사는 시민과 함께 평생학습을 실천하고 성과를 공유하기 위해 마련된 자리로 학습자들의 작품 전시 및 공연, 체험 등 다양한 프로그램으로 알차게 구성했으나 코로나19 방역 관리의 엄중함을 고려하여 참여 인원을 제한하여 운영했다고 했다. 

특히 관내 초등학교 3학년 사회 교과 과정으로 진행하였던 ‘찾아가는 의정부학 특강’과 연계하여 서계 박세당 선생을 주제로 한 사생대회 시상식도 가졌다고 했다.

사전 공모를 통해 실시한 사생대회는 총 104점의 작품이 접수되었으며, 공정한 심사를 통해 오동초 박건율 학생이 대상을 수상했고, 평생학습원은 직접 참여하지 못한 시민들을 위해 행사 동영상을 공식 유튜브 채널에 탑재하여 공유할 예정이라고 전했다.

송원찬 원장은 “코로나19로 인해 힘들고 어려운 시기를 보내고 있는 시민들을 위해 모든 세대가 참여할 수 있는 다양한 평생학습 프로그램을 제공하여 WITH 평생학습을 실천해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
