[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 19일 의정부시는 황범순 의정부시 부시장 주재로 가능동 서부로 고가도로 하부(경민학교 앞)에서 주민 안전 확보를 위해 관련 공무원이 한자리에 모여 신속한 해결 방안을 모색했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회는 지난 10월 동장 정례회의에서 논의된 사항 중 흥선동에서 건의한 경민학교 앞 고가도로 하부 환경 개선방안 모색을 위해 마련됐다. 황범순 부시장은 현장을 직접 둘러보고 인근 주민들의 의견을 청취하는 한편, 함께 참석한 담당 부서장과 해결 방안을 재차 논의했다고 했다.

경민학교 앞 고가도로 하부(가능동 564-6 일대)는 인근에 주택과 학교가 많아 지역 주민의 주요 통행로이나, 고질적인 불법 주정차와 폐기물 무단투기로 우범지대화되어 최근 약 7톤에 달하는 폐기물을 수거하였음에도 근본적인 해결을 위해 해당 지역 공영주차장 조성을 건의한 곳이라고 했다.

황범순 의정부시 부시장은  “각 동에서는 현장을 꼼꼼히 살피고 주민들의 목소리를 직접 듣고 문제를 해결해달라”고 당부했으며, 아울러, 동에서의 각종 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 관련 부서의 적극적인 협조가 무엇보다 중요하다고 강조했다고 했다.
