[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 26일 동두천시는 최근 코로나19 4차 대유행에 따라 확진자가 급증하는 다중이용시설에 대한 방역 특별점검을 실시중이라고 밝혔다. 

동두천시는 코로나19 4차 대유행 관련 다중이용시설에 대한 정부 합동점검 계획에 따라 지난 7월 8일부터 문화체육과 직원 1~2명과 문화체육관광부 직원 1명으로 구성된 합동점검반을 편성하여 매일 점검하고 있다고 전했다. 

또한 일요일은 종교시설에 대하여 점검을 실시하고 있으며 특히, 야간에는 이용객이 많은 노래연습장에 대해 동두천경찰서 협조 하에 야간 특별점검을 병행하고 있다고 했다.  

특별점검 결과 실내체육시설 105개소(계도 12건), 노래연습장 118개소(계도 2건, 단속 2건), PC방 9개소(계도 2건), 종교시설 25개소(계도 1건) 등을 대상으로 적극적인 시설점검을 통해 코로나19 감염위험을 조기에 차단하는 소기의 목적을 달성하고 있다고 했다.

한편, 최용덕 동두천시장은 “힘들고 어려운 상황임에도 코로나19 극복을 위해 적극적으로 협조해준 시민 여러분들께 감사드리며, 앞으로 다중이용시설에 대한 적극적이고 선제적인 방역점검으로 안전한 동두천시를 만드는데 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
