[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 27일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 금정초등학교로부터 감사패를 수여받았다고 밝혔다.

금정초등학교 교장을 비롯하여 군포시체육회 서정영 회장, 금정동 행정복지센터장 손경주 및 학교운영위원, 학부모회 등 15명이 참석한 이 자리는 정윤경 의원이 금정초등학교 체육관 건립을 위해 노력해준 점에 대해 감사를 표하기 위해 학교와 학부모들이 마련한 자리라고 했다.

정윤경 의원은 지난해 금정초등학교 실내체육관 건립 34억과 함께 급식실 리모델링 9억원 예산을 확보했고, 이 뿐 만아니라 실내체육관 방송시설 설치 및 전기 승압 3억, 1층 필로티 주차장 스프링클러 설치 1억 5천 등 실내체육관 운영의 질과 안전을 높이기 위해 예산을 추가로 확보해 금정초등학교 실내체육관은 2021년 1월 완공 되었다고 전했다.

금정초 주변은 군포지역 내에서도 연립 및 다세대 주택 비율이 많은 지역으로, 학생과 지역 주민들이 생활체육을 즐길 수 있는 인프라 시설 부족으로 그동안 다른 어떤 지역보다 실내체육관 건립에 대한 요구가 많았다고 했다.

정윤경 의원은 “미세먼지가 심각한 상황에서 아이들이 안심하고 마음껏 뛰어놀 수 있도록 실내체육관 건립을 위해 최선을 다했다.”라고 언급하며, “금정초등학교 실내체육관은 아이들을 위한 것이기도 하지만 이를 마을과 공유해 마을 주민들과 아이들이 함께 생활하며 교육받을 수 있는 진정한 마을교육공동체의 중심이 되길 희망한다.”고 말했다.
