[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시가 주최하고 삼척정월대보름제위원회가 주관하는 지역 대표축제인 2023년 정월대보름제가 2월 3일~5일까지 3일간 삼척 엑스포 광장과 시내일원, 삼척해수욕장에서 개최된다.

3년만에 개최되는 이번 축제는, 지난 7일 죽서루 경내에서 삼척정월대보름제위원회 주관으로 신주빚기에 쓰일 성미(誠米)를 협찬받는 신주미(神酒米) 봉정식 행사를 시작으로 본격적인 준비에 들어갔다.

신주미 협찬은, 우리 전통문화를 되살리고 만수무강 기원과 재해예방, 주민들의 지역발전에 대한 간절한 염원을 신성하게 하는 의미에서 이루어지며, 협찬된 신주미로 빚은 신주는 삼척정월대보름제 제례행사에서 제주로 사용된다.

한편, 1월 13일에는 대학로 앞 달등터널에서 달타령에 맞추어 진행하는 플래시 몹 행사와 우체국 및 대학로 앞에서 달등터널 점등식도 열리며, 1월 28일 오전 10시에는 도계 하늘 아래 신주빚는 마을(점리분교)에서 삼수령전통주연구회 주관으로 2023 삼척정월대보름제 신주빚기 행사도 진행되어 삼척정월대보름제 행사 분위기를 조성한다.
