[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 15일 포천시는 박윤국 포천시장을 비롯하여 송상국 포천시의회 부의장 및 시의원, 이철휘 더불어민주당 포천가평지역위원장, 무형문화재 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 포천 무형문화재 전수교육관 개관식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

포천시립민속예술단의 풍물 공연으로 시작한 개관식에서는 포천 무형문화재 전수교육관 건립에 대한 경과보고, 개관 유공자 감사패 및 표창 수여, 기념사 및 축사, 개관 축하 세레머니, 시설 관람 등이 진행됐다고 했다.

포천 무형문화재 전수교육관은 지난 2017년 문화재청 지원사업에 선정되며 문화재청과 경기도, 포천시가 힘을 합쳐 추진한 사업으로, 가산면 금현리 719-2 일원에 지상 2층 1동 규모로 총사업비 25억을 들여 지난 10월에 건립됐으며, 1층에는 무형문화재 전시공간과 운영사무실, 2층에는 무형문화재 연습실이 조성되어 있고 3층에는 옥상광장을 마련했고, 앞으로 이곳에서 전통문화의 보존을 위한 무형문화재의 교육과 다양한 체험프로그램을 진행할 계획이라고 전했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “포천 무형문화재 전수교육관에서 펼쳐질 전통문화의 향연이 매우 기대된다.”라며 “전통문화의 체계적인 보존과 전승을 통해 모든 세대가 무형문화재를 함께 느낄 수 있는 삶의 매개체로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
