[김준호 기자=삼척시] 50년 전통을 이어온 삼척시 대표축제인 '삼척정월대보름제'가 삼척 하늘에 다시 띄우는 보름달이라는 주제로 지난 3일부터~5일까지 3일간 삼척 엑스포 광장과 시내 척주로 및 삼척해수욕장 일원에서 개최되고 있다.

코로나19 비대면 영향으로 4년 만에 개최된 '정월대보름제'가 지역 대표 '전통문화축제'로의 위상을 다지며 삼척해수욕장 백사장에서 망월놀이와 달집태우기 행사이후 폐막된다.

삼척 정월대보름제는 지난 2015년 '유네스코 인류무형문화유'산으로 등재된 '삼척 기줄다리기'가 시내 척주로와 주 행사장인 엑스포 광장 등지에서 열려 시민·관광객들의 높은 관심을 받았다.

삼척시가 주최하고 삼척정월대보름제위원회가 주관하는 이번 행사는 개막행사, 제례행사, 문화재행사, 경축행사, 민속놀이 행사 등 9개 분야 46종 행사가 진행됐다.

특히, 올해 신설된 새해 소망 길놀이 행사가 지난 3일 16시~16시 30분 우체국사거리~엑스포광장에서 취타대, 사물놀이, 삼척시민 및 관광객 행진으로 시작하여 분위기를 북돋웠다.

한편, 지난 2일 오전 11시 하장 댓재 산신각에서 산신제, 2월 3일 오전 10시에는 엑스포광장 별신굿 부스에서 삼척오금잠연구회 주관으로 신목 모시기를 비롯해 2월 5일에는 사직제(사직단), 천신제(삼척도호부 관아지 응벽헌), 해신제(삼척해수욕장) 등 제례행사가 진행됐다.

이어, 지난 3일 엑스포광장 특설무대에서는 개막선언, 국민의례, 개회사 등 개막식 개최된뒤 장민호, 은가은, 김수희, 진미령, 박상철, 문연주, 김양, 박구윤 등 유명가수들의 개막 축하공연과 150대의 드론이 밤하늘을 아름답게 빛내며 새해 소망을 기원하는 드론쇼가 펼쳐졌으며, 

엑스포광장에서는 삼척초와 정라초의 속닥기줄다리기, 청아중과 삼일중의 중기줄다리기가 있으며, 2월 4일에는 시내 척주로에서 23산악여단과 23경비여단, 삼척시연합의용소방대와 삼척시연합자율방범대의 대기줄다리기 행사가 진행됐다.

아울러, 엑스포광장 체험마당 부스에서 민속놀이체험, 세시풍속체험, 한복 및 전통의상 체험, 복고문화체험, 전통차 시음회, 가족소원쓰기, 지화만들기 체험, 단체줄넘기 대회 및 줄씨름, 새끼꼬기체험, 외줄타기체험 등 다양한 체험행사가 진행되어 시민들에게 즐길거리를 제공됐다. 

이밖에 엑스포광장 장터마당에서 읍면동별로 향토별미장터를 운영하고 특산품 판매장, 풍물시장, 푸드트럭 등도 운영되며, 행사 마지막 날인 2월 5일 18시부터는 삼척해수욕장 백사장에서 망월놀이와 달집태우기 행사가 진행됐다.
