[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 설 연휴를 맞아 삼척시를 방문하는 귀성객 및 시민들이 쾌적하고 깨끗한 분위기에서 편안한 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 지난 1월 9일부터 오는 1월 28일까지 '설 연휴 대비 쓰레기 관리대책'을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

먼저 설 연휴 전 1월 9일부터 20일까지는 인파가 몰리는 터미널, 상가 밀집지역 등 다중이용시설 주변과 상습 무단투기 취약지역을 중심으로 읍․면․동 별로 일제 환경정비 활동을 실시하며,

설 선물 세트류 과대포장 유통행위와 분리배출 표시 적정 여부 집중 점검을 위하여 1월 9일부터 27일까지 약 3주간 단속반을 구성하고 대형마트 등을 대상으로 단속을 추진한다.

특히 설 연휴 기간에는 시민불편 해소를 위하여 생활쓰레기 기동처리반을 운영해 생활쓰레기 민원에 신속히 대응할 방침이다.

시 관계자는 “설 연휴기간 중 1월 21일(토)과 1월 24일(화)은 정상적으로 생활쓰레기를 수거 처리하며, 설 당일 1월 22일(일)과 1월 23일(월)은 휴무로 인하여 쓰레기를 수거하지 않는다.”며 “각 가정에서는 설 당일과 월요일에는 쓰레기 배출을 자제하여 줄 것”을 당부했다.
