[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2021년 11월 10일 원주지방환경청은 '비점오염원관리지역 관계기관 역량강화 워크숍'을 원주지방환경청 3층 회의실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍에서는 지역 특성에 맞는 구체적인 흙탕물 저감방안과 체계적인 관리계획을 제시하여 비점오염원관리지역의 수질개선을 도모할 계획이며, 그간 강원지역에서 흙탕물 저감을 위해 6개의 비점오염원관리지역을 지정하고 관리대책 및 시행계획을 수립하였으나 지점별 목표 수질 달성에 어려움을 겪어왔다고 했다.

워크숍은 원주지방환경청이 주최하며 강원도 비점오염원관리지역 및 관련기관 업무 담당자 30여명이 참석할 예정이고, 각 담당자들의 비점오염원관리지역별 현안사항 공유 및 브레인스토밍을 통한 개선대책 마련을 통해 서로 간의 업무역량이 강화될 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

이창흠 원주지방환경청장은 “이번 워크숍을 통해 업무 담당자들의 비점오염원관리에 대한 적극행정을 장려하고 실효성 있는 흙탕물 저감계획을 마련함으로써 관리지역별 목표 수질에 도달할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다.”고 전했다.
