시는 상황실을 운영하고, 산불발생 대응을 위해 소방서, 경찰서, 국유림관리소 등 유관 기관과의 공조체계를 유지하며 산불발생 시 신속한 초기대응과 효율적인 진화활동을 위한 초동 진화 체계를 구축한다.

특히 사회적 거리두기 해제 후 가족들과 함께 산을 찾는 입산객이 많을 것으로 예상됨에 따라, 담뱃불 등 불씨 취급 부주의로 인한 산불이 발생할 수 있어 주의가 필요한 상황이다.
