[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 4월부터, 가평군은 여성폭력피해자에게 무료로 법률상담을 지원하는 ‘가평군 여성폭력피해자 무료법률상담 지원’ 사업을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 무료법률상담 지원 사업은 폭력으로부터 스스로를 방어 또는 보호할 수 없는 여성폭력 피해자에게, 법률 상담을 통하여 자신의 인권을 보호하고 폭력의 재발을 방지하는 것을 목적으로 한다고 했다.

가평군은 ‘변호사박종군법률사무소’와 업무협약(MOU)을 통해 여성폭력 피해자에게 무료법률상담을 지원하며, 법률사무소는 정기(매월 첫째주 월요일 오후) 또는 수시로 여성폭력에 대한 법률적 상담 등을 진행하며, 가평군은 추가로 가평군 경찰서 및 6개 읍면 행정복지센터를 통하여 피해자에 대한 지원 방안 및 지역 연계 서비스를 마련할 예정이라고 전했다.

김성기 가평군수는 “무료법률상담을 통해 피해자의 인권보호와 권익증진을 위해 아낌없는 노력을 기울이겠다.” 라고 밝혔다.
