[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 국토교통부 주관 ‘공공분야 드론 조종 전문인력 양성사업’에 대상기관으로 선정되어 도 및 시군 공무원 18명이 드론 조종 국가자격증 취득 교육에 참여한다고 밝혔다.

‘공공분야 드론 조종인력 양성사업’은 국토교통부와 한국교통안전공단 주관으로 공공분야에서 드론 활용도를 제고하고 현장 임무 능력을 배양하기 위해 추진하는 사업이라고 했다.

교육에 참여하는 도 및 시군 공무원은 드론 조종 국가자격증 취득에 필요한 교육비용을 최소 300만원에서 최대 400만원까지 지원받아 이달부터 6월까지 도내 국토부 인가 드론 조종 전문 교육기관에서 관련 교육을 받게 된다고 했다.

또한, 하반기에는 스마트농업, 방역·방제, 구조물 점검 등 업무 현장 에서 요구되는 소프트웨어 조작, 특수비행 등 임무특화 교육을 실시하여 맞춤형 드론전문가 양성을 도모한다고 했다.

강원도는 본 교육을 통해 공공분야 드론 활용 행정수요 확대에 대응하고, 4차산업혁명 시대에 필요한 공공 전문인력 양성에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

강원도 관계자는 “재난관리, 방역·방제 등 강원도에 특화된 드론 활용 공공서비스 발굴·확대와 공직자 드론 운영 역량을 강화하는 등 선도적인 드론 활용 행정서비스를 확대해 강원도 드론산업 발전을 앞당기는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
