단속 대상 불법 행위는 '전기차 충전구역 내 일반차량 주차', '충전시설 주변에 물건을 쌓거나 주차하는 행위', '충전 전 후에도 일정시간(완속 충전시설 14시간, 급속 충전 시설 2시간) 이상 계속 주차하는 행위', '충전시설을 고의로 훼손하는 행위' 등이며, 충전방해 행위에 따라 10만원부터 최대 20만 원까지 과태료가 부과된다고 했다.

군 관계자는 "개정된 법률에 관해 아직 모르는 분들이 많아 충분한 계도를 통해 군민들이 제도를 인지하도록 하겠다"며,  이어 "전기차 충전소 불법주차 등의 불편사항을 해소할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력해나갈 계획이며,  군민들께서도 적극 협조해주시길 당부드린다"고 말했다.
