[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 산림청 한국산림복지진흥원 소속기관인 국립횡성숲체원은 그린뉴딜 및 탄소중립 실현 정책 기조에 발맞춰, 청소년 대상 산림진로체험 및 환경교육 프로그램 참가자 모집에 나섰다고 밝혔다. 

산림진로체험 ‘꿈잡고, 숲잡(JOB)고’와 환경교육 ‘그린리더’는 대면·비대면형 모두 운영되며, 참가기관을 직접 방문하는 방식으로도 운영되며, ‘꿈잡고, 숲잡(JOB)고’는 청소년 대상 모바일 산림진로체험 테스트를 통해 자신의 적성을 테스트하고, 이에 맞는 산림진로프로그램 13종(식물법의학자, 조류학자, 고생물학자 등)을 직접 체험해 볼 수 있는 프로그램이라고 했다. 

환경교육프로그램 ‘그린리더’는 대면형 탄소중립 프로그램 '포레스트 에코리더(9차시, 멸종위기종 보드게임, 업싸이클링 등)와, 비대면형 프로그램', '에코리더 프로젝트(업사이클링 북아트, 씨앗심는 봄)' 총 2종으로 구성되어 있으며, 환경 의식 제고 및 탄소 중립 실현을 위한 산림교육프로그램이라고 했다.

위 프로그램은 횡성·평창·원주 지역 뿐만 아니라 서울·경기 지역의 초중등 기관 및 학교 단체(50명 이상) 등 누구나 신청가능하며, 신청은 국립횡성숲체원 누리집 공지사항의 참가신청서를 작성하여 이메일 접수하면 된다고 전했다.

국립횡성숲체원 홍성현 원장은 “산림교육 확산과 미래 환경인재 양성을 위해 청소년들이 숲과 환경의 중요성을 인지하고 체험할 기회가 더욱 많아졌으면 한다”면서 “코로나19라는 힘겨운 상황 속에서도 우리 청소년들이 언제, 어디서든 숲을 체험하며 미래를 설계할 수 있는 환경을 마련해나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
