군은 설 연휴기간 ‘쓰레기 대책 상황반’과 ‘기동청소반’을 운영하고, 무단투기 특별 단속을 실시하는 등 각종 민원에 신속 대처한다는 방침이라고 전했다.

설 연휴 생활쓰레기 수거 일정은 오는 1월 29일과 1월 30일, 1월 31일, 2월 2일 오전에만 수거하고, 설 당일인 2월 1일은 휴무한다고 밝혔다.

다량의 쓰레기가 발생할 것으로 예상되는 연휴기간 동안 쓰레기 대책 상황반을 집중 운영하여 생활쓰레기 관련 주민 불편사항 접수·처리, 폐기물 불법투기 단속에 나설 예정이며, 이밖에도 읍·면 등 기동청소반 23명을 편성하여 주요 도로변 등 방치된 쓰레기를 기동 수거하고, 주요 대형마트 포장폐기물 분리배출 강화로 쓰레기 발생을 최소화 할 계획이라고 전했다. 

군 관계자는 “청결하고 쾌적한 설 명절을 위해 군민들께서는 필요한 만큼만 음식을 준비해 쓰레기양을 줄여주시길 바란다”면서 “설 연휴기간 동안 수거일정에 맞춰 생활쓰레기를 배출해 달라”고 당부했다.
