[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 문화체육관광부와 국민체육진흥공단이 후원하는 2022년도 스포츠강좌이용권 지원사업을 이번 달부터 12월까지 추진한다고 밝혔다.

본 사업은 기초생활수급자를 비롯한 차상위계층 가정의 저소득층 유・청소년을 대상으로 관내 스포츠강좌 이용권 가맹시설 수강료를 월 8만 5천원 이내로 최소 10개월 이상 지원하며 2022년도에는 총 1억 3천9백여 만원의 규모로 운영된다고 했다.

관내 가맹 시설은 태권도를 비롯하여 합기도, 검도, 실내 암벽 등 18개 시설이 있으며, 코로나19로 인해 이용 여건이 제한되는 상황임에도 해당 시설들에서 2021년도 한해 약 100여 명의 저소득층 유・청소년이 평균 10개월의 강좌료를 지원받아 활동적인 여가 선용 기회를 가졌다고 했다. 

속초시는 올해 지원대상자로 122명을 선정하였으며 2022년도 중 수시 추가모집을 통해 더 많은 수혜자를 발굴하여 지원할 계획이라고 전했다. 

속초시 관계자는“저소득층 유・청소년의 여가선용 기회 제공 및 사회・문화적 소외감 해소에 크게 기여하고 있는 스포츠강좌이용권 사업에 많은 분들이 적극 신청하여 그 혜택을 누렸으면 한다.”라고 말했다.
