[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시와 속초문화재단은 지난해 제4차 예비 문화도시 지정 공모에 최종 관문을 넘지 못한 원인을 분석하고 속초시만의 특색 있는 핵심사업의 개선 등 문화도시 조성계획을 수정·보완하여 올해 제5차 예비 문화도시 지정 공모에 나선다고 밝혔다.

그 첫 단계로 속초시는 오는 21일 '2022 속초시 문화도시 행정협의체' 1차 회의를 개최하고 이어 오는 28일 전 직원을 대상으로 한 문화도시 역량강화 교육을 통해 문화도시에 대한 이해를 높이고, 행정 전반의 문화적 협치 체계 강화를 위해 행정협의체와 시민 거버넌스와의 협업과 소통을 넓혀 나갈 계획이며, 이와 관련 속초문화재단은 문화도시 실무 전담팀을 구성하고 시민거버넌스와 라운드테이블 등을 통해 문화도시 사업을 널리 알려 시민의 공감대를 형성하고 시민과 소통할 수 있는 기회를 확대해 나갈 계획이라고 전했다.
