이날 참배에는 최용덕 시장, 보훈단체장, 시의원, 간부 공무원 등 30여 명이 참석하여 헌화 및 분양을 했으며, 최근 코로나19 재확산 상황을 고려하여 감염예방을 위해 최소 인원으로 진행됐고, 참석자들은 참배를 통해 나라를 위해 희생한 순국선열 및 호국영령들의 숭고한 애국정신을 기리고 추모했다고 했다.

동두천시장은 “임인년 새해를 맞이하여 나라를 위해 목숨을 바친 선열들의 고귀한 희생을 기리며, 국가와 민족을 위해 헌신하신 국가유공자와 보훈가족들의 복지가 증진될 수 있도록 앞으로도 더욱 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
