[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 17일, 설악면지역사회보장협의체와 ㈜홈마트 가평설악점은 설악면행정복지센터 2층 대회의실에서 협의체 위원 및 담당공무원등 21명이 참석한 가운데 11월 정기회의에 앞서 관내 지역사회복지 증진 및 나눔문화 확산을 위한 후원협약을 체결하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약을 통해 ㈜홈마트는 설악면 취약계층을 위해 라면 20상자를 격월로 정기후원하기로 하였으며 설악면 지역사회보장협의체는 ㈜홈마트에서 후원한 라면 20상자가 사회공헌활동 제반업무에 도움이 되도록 복지지원 사업에 적합한 대상자를 선정하고 잘 전달될 수 있도록 적극 협조하기로 하였다고 말했다.

설악면 유명로에 위치한 ㈜홈마트는 2014년도에 설립된 설악면 최대 규모의 식자재 전문 대형마트로 친절을 최우선으로 생각하며 과일, 채소, 정육, 생선 등의 가격이 모두 날마다 다르게 할인되어 일반 마트보다 좀 더 저렴한 가격으로 지역주민들이 상품을 구매할 수 있도록 노력하는 곳이라고 했다. 

㈜홈마트 김만현 대표는 “우리 주변 어려운 이웃을 위해 도움을 줄 수 있는 일이 무엇일까 고민 끝에 조용히 정기 후원을 하기로 마음을 먹었는데 이런 자리를 마련할지 몰랐다. 이번 협약으로 기탁된 라면이 우리 주변의 이웃들에게 작은 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

이에 이범주 설악면장은 “관내 저소득층을 위해 정기 후원협약을 해주신 ㈜홈마트에 감사드리며 이번 협약식을 통해 민·관이 힘을 모아 지역의 복지사각지대를 줄일 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것이며 관내 어려운 이웃에게 큰 희망이 될 것이다”고 전했다.  

한편 협약식과 정기회의가 끝난 후에는 한촌설렁탕 20인분, 한옥마을 찰보리누룽지 20봉지, 대기농산 특란 20팩의 후원을 통해 설악면 지역사회보장협의체 특화사업인 ‘행복끼니 행복릴레이 사업’이 진행 되었으며 특히 이날 김경호 도의원이 함께 참여하여 취약계층 가구를 직접 방문하여 후원물품을 전달하고 안부를 확인한 것으로 나타나 지역사회에 훈훈함을 더했다고 말했다.
