[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 18일 북부지방산림청은 소나무재선충병 방제사업의 부실 설계‧감리‧시공을 사전에 예방하고 방제사업의 품질 확보를 위해 경기 남부권 사업장에 대하여 일제점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 북부지방산림청 소속 국유림관리소에서 책임 방제하고 있는 사업장을 대상으로 실시했으며, 관할지역의 소나무재선충병 피해현황과 방제상황을 면밀히 점검하여 피해고사목을 전략적으로 방제하도록 독려했다고 했다.

점검 중 설계ㆍ감리ㆍ시공자간 직접 면담을 통해 방제사업 현장에 대한 애로사항과 발전방향 등 향후 대응전략을 논의하는 한편, 방제작업으로 인한 통행불편, 도복피해, 소음 등 사업장 주변의 주민들에게 피해가 없도록 주의할 것을 당부했다.

북부지방산림청에서는 경기 중부ㆍ강원권 지역에 대하여 1월부터 현재까지 지난해 말 조사한 피해고사목 중 약 14백본에 대하여 방제사업을 추진하고 있으며, 추가로 발생하는 감염목 등에 대하여 3월말까지 전량 방제할 계획이라고 전했다.
