평창군은 관내 하수관로 및 평창 공공하수처리시설을 포함하여 27개의 하수처리시설과 1개의 분뇨처리시설을 운영하고 있으며, 이번점검은 상하수도사업소 하수도팀과 운영사인 ㈜대양환경기술, 맑은평창(주)와 합동으로 모든 시설물에 대한 일제점검을 진행한다고 했다.

점검은 평창군 관내 하수관로 및 공공하수처리시설 시설물에 대해 전반적인 부분을 점검할 계획으로 하수관로 동파방지 및 하수처리 주요설비에 대한 정상가동, 유지관리 상태, 동절기대비물품 확인에 중점을 두고 실시하며 미흡한 사항에 대해서는 신속하게 조치할 계획이라고 전했다.
