[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 그동안 아동보호 전문기관이 수행하던 아동학대 신고접수와 현장조사, 피해 아동 분리, 학대 판단 등의 업무를 이관 받아 직접 수행해 나갈 예정이며, 가평경찰서와 업무 협력체계를 구축하여 관내 아동들의 안전한 보호를 위해 적극 대응 할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

현재 가평군은 가평군청 제2청사 3층 드림스타트 사무실에 학대피해를 받은 아동을 상담하고 심리적 안정을 지원 할 수 있는 조사상담실을 설치하였으며, 지난 1월에 아동보호전담요원을 배치해 요보호아동에 대한 관리를 하고 있다고 전했다. 

지난 6월에는 아동학대 전담 공무원을 배치하고 위급한 상황이 발생할 경우 경찰과 함께 현장에 나가 피해 아동을 보호할 수 있도록 24시간 상시 근무 체계를 유지하고 있다고 했다. 

또한 즉각 분리제도 시행 후 피해아동의 일시보호 수요 증가에 대비해 학대피해아동쉼터(1개소)를 내년에 신설, 운영할 예정이며 학대피해아동 발생 시 응급대응과 전문적인 치료지원을 위해 아동학대 전담의료기관으로 관내 병원을 지정되도록 적극 추진 중이라고 했다.

한편, 효율적이고 전문적인 아동학대 대응체계 구축을 위해 경찰, 교육청, 아동보호전문기관과 정보연계협의체를 구성·운영하여 매월 실무회의 진행을 통해 지역 내 학대피해 및 위기아동 정보를 공유하고 협업 체계를 구축했다고 했다. 

아동복지심의위원회 산하 사례결정위원회를 구성하여 보호대상 아동에 대한 보호조치 결정, 변경, 보호종료 등에 관련된 심의 업무를 수행할 예정이라고 전했다.

박재근 행복돌봄과장은 “피해아동을 신속하게 보호하는 체계를 구축해 아이들이 안전한 환경에서 건강하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있도록 업무에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
