[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 25일 북부지방산림청은 국유림관리소 숲가꾸기 담당자와 국립산림과학원, 산림기술사 등 20여명이 참석한 가운데 신규 담당자를 위한 숲가꾸기 설계 컨설팅 교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다.  

이날 교육은 북부지방산림청 대회의실에서 국립산림과학원 연구사의 이론교육 및 산림기술사의 설계 컨설팅으로 진행했다고 전했다. 

북부지방산림청에서는 금년도에 숲가꾸기 사업 품질 향상 및 담당자 역량 강화를 위해 직무교육을 지속적으로 추진하고 있으며, 이번 교육은 산불예방 숲가꾸기 사업 추진, 조림지사후관리 등에 이은 여덟 번째 교육이라고 했다.

주요 직무교육 내용은 큰나무가꾸기에 대한 솎아베기 작업 시 수종별 제거율(간벌률) 적용 등 신규 담당자가 사업 추진 시 숙지하여야 할 기본 이론 및 설계서 검토 요령을 위주로 교육한다고 했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “지속적인 직무교육을 통해 사업 담당 공무원의 역량을 강화하고 현장의 애로사항 및 문제점을 공유하여, 숲가꾸기 품질 향상을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
