[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 국민 생활과 밀접한 산림 분야 규제를 중심으로 규제개선 과제 회의 및 검토 과정을 통해 총 15건의 과제를 발굴해 산림청에 제출하였다고 밝혔다.

북부청은 지난 4월 제1차 회의를 통해 총 10건의 과제를 발굴한 바 있으며, 이번 제2차 회의를 통하여 7월 21일에 5건의 과제를 추가로 발굴했다고 했다.

민원접수·처리 과정에서 청취한 애로사항을 팀별·종합 검토 등 2회의 검토를 거쳐 엄선하였으며, 민원 사례를 분석하여 면밀한 검토와 보완을 통해 규제개선 과제를 제출했다고 했다.

산림청에서는 국민이 체감할 수 있는 산림규제를 개선하기 위해 노력하고 있으며, 2021년 상반기 대표 규제개선 사례 중 하나로 국유림 대부료 납부 방식을 개선한 사항이 있다고 했다. 

국유림 대부자의 불편을 해소하고자 현금 수납만 가능하던 기존의 국유림 대부료 납부방법의 다양화를 위한 근거 규정을 마련했다고 전했다.

그 결과 올해 12월부터 시행되는 개정안에 따라 국유림 대부료의 신용카드 수납이 가능하게 되어 이용자 만족도를 향상시킬 것으로 기대된다고 했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “형식적인 규제개선이 아닌 국민이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 규제개선을 위하여 지속적으로 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
