[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 최근 이상 고온 지속과 기후변화 등에 따라 다양하게 출몰하고 있는 각종 돌발 외래 산림병해충에 대하여 지금까지 1,800ha를 방제 완료했다고 밝혔다.

전년도 관할지역 내 농림지 돌발해충 발생면적은 1,388ha로 겨울철 기온 상승과 기후변화의 영향으로, 올해에도 돌발 외래해충의 개체수가 급증하여 피해가 클 것으로 예상하고 있으며, 이에 따라 개체수 밀도 저감을 위하여 알집 제거 등 생태별 맞춤형 방제를 지속적으로 추진했다고 했다.

경기 의왕시 청계산과 서울 은평구 봉산 해맞이 공원 일대에 집단적으로 발생한 돌발해충(대벌레)을 유관기관과 긴급 협업방제(130ha)를 실시하여 도심 생활권 주변 환경을 개선했다고 했다.
