[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 22일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회위원장 정윤경 의원이 평등한 교권문화 발전을 위해 공헌한 공로를 인정받아 함께하는장애인교원노동조합 창립 2주년 기념식에서 감사패를 받았다고 밝혔다.

정윤경 위원장은 평소 장애인 교원의 업무환경에 남다른 관심과 애정을 가지고 장애교원 권익옹호를 위해 노력해왔으며 특히, 「경기도교육청 장애인교원 편의지원 조례」에 규정되어 있는 ‘근로지원인’ 및 ‘보조공학기기’ 지원을 현실화하고자 다양한 방안을 모색해왔다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “평소 현장에 답이 있다는 생각으로 교육현장을 많이 돌아보고자 노력해왔고 그러다보니 장애인 교원들의 열악한 업무환경이 눈에 보이게 되어 그 부분을 해결하기 위해 교육기획위원장으로서 책임을 다해왔을 뿐인데 이렇게 감사패를 받게 되어 영광으로 생각한다” 고 소감을 밝혔다.

이어서 정윤경 위원장은 “우리나라 전체 교원 중 장애인 교원 비율은 1.5퍼센트 밖에 되지 않아 장애인 교원들의 권익보호를 위한 대변이 항상 부족하여 아쉬운 마음이었는데, 전 세계 최초 장애인교원 노조인 장교조의 등장으로 우리나라 장애인 교원 약 5천명의 평등한 교육 실현이 조금이나마 이루어질 수 있었다고 생각한다” 면서 “교육기획위원장으로서 장애인 교원들의 권익보호 및 업무환경 개선을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 지속적인 적극 지원을 약속했다.

한편, 창립 2주년을 맞은 함께하는장애인노동조합은 장애인 교원의 평등한 교권 실현을 위한 교육환경을 만들기 위해 2019년 7월 6일 출범하였으며, 시각장애, 지체장애, 청각장애별 교사위원회를 설치하고 전국 시·도 교육청별 지부 설립을 추진하고 있는 등 활동 영역을 확장하고 있다고 전했다.
